Team Jim on "Portrait of a Comedian" →
We did this great podcast a while back, hosted by the delightful Marcus Parks, but didn’t end up posting it on the site for some reason*. This is from the pre-Public Assembly days, so ignore everything we say about where the show is and just pay attention to how funny and charming we both are.

We've got a new home!
CCC will be back in action Sunday 8/14 at Public Assembly in Williamsburg. Lineup and more details coming soon. Tell your friends, tell your family, tell your family friends, tell the cast of “Friends.”

Beam me up to your father, Luke! Live long and hasta la vista, Programs! It’s the full video of our May show, where our theme was SCI-FI. Featuring Andy Haynes, Tom Sibley, Nick Turner, Nick Maritato, and a special guest appearance by John F. O’Donnell. Get into it, dudes.

It’s our March show, you guys! Our theme was ACTION MOVIES, so get ready for a bunch of explosions and shitty one-liners and car chases and gun battles and rocket launchers and whatnot. Also featuring comedy by the hilarious Morgan Venticinque, Robert Dean, Jamie Lee and Greg Barris.
It’s our ENTIRE* show from Feb. 2011, now online for your viewing pleasure.. featuring Neal Stastny, Dan St.Germain, and Patrick Borelli. Highlights include Patrick kicking a super drunk old guy off the stage (43:19); that same drunk guy loudly telling someone on the phone that he was just on a comedy show (43:41); Jim VB’s head going past the bottom of the frame on the way to tell him...

This week, Jim VB discusses Erik Estrada…
It’s hard to describe how much I loved the show CHiPs as a kid, but I’ll give it a shot: I FUCKING LOVED CHiPS! A LOT!! If you’re unfamiliar with the show and why a young boy in the 1980s would be super into it, all you need to know is that it was about two California Highway Patrol motorcycle officers who got into approximately...
Munchie / Munchie Strikes Back
Council Members! We’re starting a new thing here at the CCC site… we’ll be posting a clip w/ commentary from one (or both) Jim(s), hopefully weekly. Some clips will be things we’ve shown at CCC shows, others will be web-exclusives. First up: Jim C. and Munchie!
Okay, bear with me here because this is gonna be a doozy to explain. Munchies is a campy 80s horror comedy...

Yes, that’s right: the FULL show from January 2011! We’ve been trying to get a whole show on film since we started, but a series of camera issues prevented this from happening until now. So for all of our out-of-town friends, or in-town friends who couldn’t make it, or people who were at the show but have a terrible memory: here you go! NSFW audio, so if listening to swear words...
Brent Sullivan at our January 2011 show. I’m too doped up on cold medicine to come up with a witty description of this, but he’s funny! WE PROMISE
The first 10 minutes of our January show— our opening montage and Jim VB’s warmup set. It’s just like being there (if you were sitting on a little tripod on the edge of the sound booth and had a very limited field of vision and also kind of zoomed in a little bit)!
Nick Vatterott at the January show. I think he should win the election for President of Jokes* because of that Garbage Pail Kids thing up top (which he came up with in about five seconds at the bar before the show). NSFW audio, maybe?
* this is not a real thing but if it were real, can we agree that Jay Leno would be the Sarah Palin of Jokes? And Sarah Palin would be the Carrot Top of Jokes?...
A blue fleece sweatshirt (with special guest Danny Solomon) performing at our January show. NSFW audio, SFW video, SWV FBI LOL TTYL BBQ!1
The Council was lucky enough to have Sean O’Connor on for his final NYC show before running away to Los Angeles. YOU COULDN’T HANDLE NEW YORK, EH, SEAN? (just kidding we’ll miss you buddy (just kidding about just kidding, you pussy)) Probably NSFW audio but who knows. I don’t work with you.
Jim VB at Smooth Moves, hosted by Rose Surnow. Filmed at Bruar Falls in Williamsburg. NSFW audio but we’re all adults here, right?

Jim VB at Coyote Average, hosted by the lovely and delightful Alice Wetterlund & Katie East. His first non-CCC/non-open-mic show. Also the “lubricated” aside was a callback to a joke Katie had done earlier, and not a weird creepy non sequitur. Promise!
The man with the best laugh in the business… Mark Normand dropped by the Council for our August show! Here is video evidence that we are not lying about this.
TEAM JIM teaches you how to make a movie, plus a lucky audience member competes for a chance to win a (crappy) prize in our new trivia segment! From the CCC show on Sun. 8/29 at coco66 in Brooklyn.

Alice Wetterlund headlining the July 25 Crappy Cinema Council show.
I overheard a lady at lunch the other day say “Well, you can’t really blame Mel Gibson, though, can you?” Uh… yes. Yes you can. Although we should have all seen this latest outburst coming a mile away… NSFW (unless you have headphones or work somewhere totally awesome).
